BE PREPARED

Mornings can be difficult for everyone - especially with a busy day ahead. Like mediation, it's best to commit to a consistent routine. Lay your mat out the night before. Create a regular schedule, it's much easier to get up early if you typically wake at the same time each day.

TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO BREATHE BEFORE GETTING OUT OF BED

When you wake up, take a conscious present breath. Doing this not only centers you but also reminds you to pause for your breath throughout the day. You'll be amazed at what 5 minutes of breathing before getting out of bed can transform your energy and make you feel much more awake and ready for your day.

Your morning yoga practice doesn'talways have to be about poses and postures; mediating is also a yoga practice with many benefits. Becoming aware of your thoughts allows us to be able to observe them rather than getting caught up in them.
